There are countless traffic packages and strategies being sold these days. Unfortunately, many of them leave much to be desired. You can purchase so-called targeted traffic, guaranteed hits, guaranteed opt-ins, guaranteed sign-ups, etc, etc.
More often that not, after shelling out your hard earned money, you end up scratching your head wondering what happened?
The absolute worse are those guaranteed opt-ins or sign ups. What's the use of having 50 gozillion opt-ins who never open any of your emails? I remember falling for that one when I first started marketing online. I was happy to shell out hundreds of dollars to purchase thousands of subscribers. It sounded like the deal of the century. To my dismay, I couldn't get even one of my 10,000 fresh subscribers to respond to anything I sent them if my life depended on it.
Well after spinning my wheels for quite a while, I came to the realization that nothing worthwhile in life comes easy.That doesn't change because we are doing internet marketing. Internet marketing is simply marketing online. There are bedrock principles of successful marketing which work 100% of the time.
To think that since we're doing online marketing those principles of success do not apply. Is the same as setting ourselves up for massive failure. No, the same sound marketing principles which lead to guaranteed success offline. Can, and must, be used to bring about the very success we pursue online.
Every marketing organization has as its goal the sales of products and services. However, every successful marketing organization knows that people hate to be sold. People are people online or offline. If they hate to be sold offline.You can bet your bottom dollar they hate to be sold online as well.
By employing time tested marketing practices the focus shifts from being a pushy salesman. Which everybody (including the pushy salesman) hates. The focus becomes partnering with each individual to provide expert help or advice the person desperately needs. And have become convinced (with or without your help) of their dire need.
It is all about positioning yourself in such a way that you are seen as the expert who can help. While anyone can make a sale or two online without proper posturing. It is an uphill battle to try and build an online business that way.
When all is said and done, your best source of high quality traffic to your website, is your personal marketing list. A personal marketing list is more than just a list that you shoot offers to and see what sticks. It is a list of people with whom you have developed a mutually beneficial relationship.
You are not just looking to make a quick sale from the people on this list. You have taken the time to earn their trust and respect. And most importantly, they know that you are looking out for their best interest.
Why wouldn't they follow a recommendation you make to buy a product or service if they know you care? Why wouldn't they rush to any website you ask them to visit when they know that you wouldn't ask them to visit without knowing it will help them?
It is an established fact that after you have taken the time to build such a list. You can go into any opportunity or niche and completely dominate it at the drop of a hat. And that, my friend, is its own great reward.
